American River and Butte Set to Clash in Highly Anticipated NCFC National Matchup
American River College and Butte College are gearing up for a thrilling showdown in the Northern California Football Conference (NCFC) this weekend. Both teams come into the game with a perfect 1-0 record in league play, making this matchup a crucial one in determining the early frontrunner in the conference.
ARC is led by standout running back Elias Brown, who has been a force to be reckoned with, averaging over 105 yards per game. Wide receiver Jadon Anderson has also been a key player for the Beavers, with 4 receiving touchdowns to his name. Defensively, Johnathan Correa and Brevin Amiga have been leading the charge for ARC, with impressive stats in sacks and interceptions.
On the other side, Butte College boasts a strong offense led by quarterback Marcus Beamon, who has an impressive 18 to 3 touchdown to interception ratio. Wide receiver Brandon Smith has been a standout player for the Roadrunners, with 8 touchdowns and nearly 400 receiving yards. Takeshi Faupula has been a force on the ground, averaging nearly 80 yards per game. Defensively, Austin Young and Aiden Whipple have been leading the charge for Butte, with impressive tackle and interception stats.
In another exciting NCFC matchup, San Jose will face off against Coalinga in a battle of two talented teams. San Jose's quarterback Will Augenstein and wide receiver Jamir Shephard have been a dynamic duo, while Jesse Lajes has been a standout in the running game. Defensively, Machi Robinson has been a force for the Jaguars.
Coalinga, led by quarterback Logan Johnson and running back Try Cooks, will look to continue their success on offense. Bryson Peterson has been a standout on defense for the Falcons, with 2 interceptions to his name.
