San Mateo at Fresno, Butte at Sequoias highlight ranked matchups in Week 5

The National Division's San Mateo, Diablo Valley, Butte, and Monterey Peninsula all picked up wins last week while De Anza and Los Medanos were winners in the American Division to remain undefeated.
No. 1-state-ranked and defending state champion CSM (4-0) won its 14th straight game last Saturday and will face a tough challenge when it travels to No. 17 Fresno City (2-2) this weekend. No. 2 Butte (4-0) will look to stay perfect when it also heads to the Central Valley to play at No. 16 Sequoias (3-1) in Visalia.

Jose Soriano – Reedley, National Division Offensive Player of the Week
Quarterback Jose Soriano completed 16 of 27 passes for 334 yards and 3 TDs in an overtime victory over Shasta College.
Jonah Flowers – Butte, National Division Defensive Player of the Week
Defensive back Jonah Flowers had a big 94-yard interception return for a touchdown in the win over Modesto. He also totaled 4 tackles, 1 pass breakup, and 1 quarterback hurry.
Ian Kirby – De Anza, American Division Offensive Player of the Week
Quarterback Ian Kirby went 32-40 passing for 319 yards and 3 TDs while also rushing 7 times for 26 yards in De Anza's win over Siskiyous.
Gabe Gonzalez – Los Medanos, American Division Defensive Player of the Week
Linebacker Gabe Gonzalez totaled 7 tackles with 2 sacks and 3.5 TFLs. He also forced a fumble, recovered the fumble, had a QB hurry as well as a pass breakup.
